South Jersey Gas Awards $1,000 Grant to the Wildwood Police Department

FOLSOM, N.J., March 22, 2017 – South Jersey Gas presented the Wildwood Police Department with a $1,000 grant to help support the costs associated with acquiring and training a new police K-9 unit. South Jersey Gas’ Paul Zuccarino, Senior Vice President of Operations presented the City of Wildwood Chief of Police Robert Regalbuto and the newest member of its police force, Vera, with a check during the City of Wildwood Commissioner’s monthly meeting on Tuesday.

“South Jersey Gas is honored to partner with the City of Wildwood to support the training of the new K-9 unit,” said Paul Zuccarino. “Through South Jersey Gas’ First Responders Grant Program, we are able to assist our local emergency responders in making the necessary investments in critical training and resources, benefitting the local residents we all work together to safely serve.”

The police department received one of 20, $1,000 grant from South Jersey Gas as part of its inaugural First Responders Grant Program. 

“Through the tremendous support of the community and sponsors like South Jersey Gas, the Wildwood Police Department was able to meet our goal to bring a new police K-9 unit to our city,” Chief Regalbuto added. “Six months ago we embarked on this challenge to bring a police K9 unit to the city, and I am extremely excited today as we introduce the newest member of the department, Vera.”
