These grants are used by first responders to support necessary purchases including combustible gas detectors, turn out gear, fire hoses, medical supplies and other equipment.

"Game On" Grant Program

For over ten years, the Game On Grant Program has provided support to sustain local, community-centered youth sports programs (leagues, clubs, and recreational organizations) in the South Jersey Gas service area. Vets food drive

VETS Food Drive for the Red Cross Service to Armed Forces

In partnership with the Red Cross, SJI’s Veterans Engagement Team (VETS) collects thousands of pounds of food during their food drive by setting up collection points throughout New Jersey. VETS encourages customers, employees and families from South Jersey Gas to drop off non-perishable items. Volunteers then deliver several truckloads of food to the Red Cross for distribution.

VETS is an employee resource group at SJI that supports the personal growth and professional development of former servicemen and women. The Red Cross Service to Armed Forces program provides home comforts and critical services on bases, in military hospitals and supports military families during deployments and emergencies.
