Cape Atlantic Reliability Project Statement; Vote recognizes allowances and balanced solution project offers Southern NJ
Today’s approval by the Pinelands Commission of South Jersey Gas’ application for the Cape Atlantic Reliability Project recognizes the energy reliability challenges facing southern New Jersey and the balanced solution this project offers. The careful construction of this pipeline will address the energy demands of 142,000 customers in Cape May and Atlantic counties, protect and create jobs, and provide a meaningful opportunity to significantly reduce air emissions while supporting the state’s Energy Master Plan.


Contractors and Excavators Invited to Free Damage Prevention Seminar; Underground Utility Safety presented by South Jersey Gas
To continue its educational program focused on safety and public awareness, South Jersey Gas invites contractors and excavators who dig as part of their operations to sign up for one of four free Damage Prevention Seminars to be held in the coming weeks at various locations throughout southern New Jersey.   


South Jersey Gas Presents Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company a $1,000 Grant

The fire company applied for and received one of 20, $1,000 grants from the South Jersey Industries subsidiary as part of its inaugural First Responders Grant Program. These grants allow South Jersey Gas to provide critical support for operations conducted by first responders.


South Jersey Gas Announces Game On Grant Program: Accepting Applications to Support Local, School-aged Children

South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, Inc. (NYSE: SJI), today announced the kick-off of its annual Game On Grant Program. Twenty grants in the amount of $1,000 each will provide critical support needed to sustain local, community-centered athletic programs, leagues, clubs, associations, and recreational organizations for children.


South Jersey Gas Files Rate Case with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities

South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, Inc. (NYSE: SJI), today filed a petition with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) requesting an increase of approximately $75 million to its base rates to recognize the infrastructure investments made to maintain the safety and reliability of its natural gas delivery system.  This filing is its first since 2013.


Proposed Pipeline Essential for Reliable Energy in Southern Jersey

“For over four years, South Jersey Gas has proposed a solution to two very real energy reliability challenges facing southern New Jersey.  Our recommendation carefully balances the energy demands of 142,000 customers in Cape May and Atlantic counties, and protects and creates jobs while operating responsibly within the Pinelands. The project, called Cape Atlantic Reliability Project, has received all necessary approvals to date. 



South Jersey Gas wants to advise residents, business owners, and motorists in the City of Pleasantville that work will begin on or about Monday, January 16 (weather permitting) to convert the natural gas infrastructure system from lower to higher pressure throughout the City. South Jersey Gas is performing this work to enhance its infrastructure as part of the Accelerated Infrastructure Replacement Program
