Protect Yourself from Payment Scams

Safety is a core value at South Jersey Gas and that includes helping protect our customers against fraud such as bill collection scams. South Jersey Gas’ VP of Customer Experience Marissa Travaline recently spoke on Jersey Matters with Larry Mendte about scammers trying to take advantage of the pandemic and she provided some important safety tips. Be Careful with Indoor Gas Meters

In rare circumstances gas meters are sometimes enclosed in home additions or other structures that may not allow for proper ventilation and can cause dangerous carbon monoxide build-up.

If your home has an enclosed gas meter or you notice one in a friend or relative’s home, we strongly encourage having it inspected by our field technicians.
