As South Jersey Gas continues to upgrade our natural gas infrastructure and increase system reliability, a planned construction project is scheduled to begin on or about July 8, 2024 in the municipalities of Borough of Woodbury Heights and Deptford Township. This important project will replace and improve an existing natural gas distribution main in Gloucester County.
This infrastructure improvement will allow South Jersey Gas to provide better system reliability, safety, and resiliency to the residents and businesses of Gloucester County. If you are an existing South Jersey Gas customer, your natural gas service will continue uninterrupted during this project. We thank you for your patience as our construction team works as efficiently and safely as possible to complete this project.
The system upgrade will require temporary construction along the following roads:
Construction will occur in phases to limit the area of disturbance at any given time.

Traffic patterns in the area of construction will be adjusted, including road closures with detour or lane shifting to maintain two-way traffic if space allows.
