South Jersey Gas Supports Newfield Fire Department With $2,500 First Responders Grant
FOLSOM, N.J. – South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of SJI (NYSE:
SJI), recently presented the Newfield Fire Department with a $2,500 grant as part of the company’s
First Responders Grant Program. Newfield Fire Department is one of eight recipients selected to receive the latest round of grants from South Jersey Gas. The grant funds will be used to provide additional certified training to members of the department, enhancing firefighters’ skills and response in emergency situations.
“South Jersey Gas is honored to assist local first responders and support the Newfield Fire Department through our
First Responders Grant Program,” said Dave Robbins, president of South Jersey Gas. “These grants help provide lifesaving equipment and valuable training to departments, ensuring the overall safety of all those they serve and protect. We recognize the hard work and dedication exhibited by the Newfield Fire Department and are proud to partner with them.”

The
First Responders Grant Program will be offered again in Fall 2018. All
First Responders Grant Program recipients represent local police, fire or emergency medical services departments that are comprised of paid or volunteer staff members serving residents in municipalities located within the utility’s service area.
