South Jersey Gas Supports Newfield Fire Department With $2,500 First Responders Grant

FOLSOM, N.J. –  South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of SJI (NYSE: SJI), recently presented the Newfield Fire Department with a $2,500 grant as part of the company’s First Responders Grant Program. Newfield Fire Department is one of eight recipients selected to receive the latest round of grants from South Jersey Gas. The grant funds will be used to provide additional certified training to members of the department, enhancing firefighters’ skills and response in emergency situations.
“South Jersey Gas is honored to assist local first responders and support the Newfield Fire Department through our First Responders Grant Program,” said Dave Robbins, president of South Jersey Gas. “These grants help provide lifesaving equipment and valuable training to departments, ensuring the overall safety of all those they serve and protect. We recognize the hard work and dedication exhibited by the Newfield Fire Department and are proud to partner with them.”
“This grant will allow us to provide more certified training at the benefit of our firefighters and all those we serve,” said Chief Michael Carlino. “On behalf of our department and the residents of Newfield, we thank South Jersey Gas for this generous donation and their continued support.”
The First Responders Grant Program will be offered again in Fall 2018.
